DUTIES:
1. The Director of Nursing (DON), under the direct oversight of the Administrator and in compliance with the Board of Directors’ policy and practices, helps in the preparation, coordination, directing, overseeing, and review of home health programs.
2. The DON is in charge of coordinating and liaising with relevant parent and affiliate Departments and councils, developing policy and guidelines for military members and receiving feedback from them, and providing technical input to similar administrative processes.
3. The DON oversees and supervises trained and auxiliary employees providing client care services, manages communications and public affairs with the organization, consults and schedules staffing requirements for health care providers, and promotes the philosophy of quality client care to the general public.
4. The DON serves as a customer service administrative liaison and interprets support needs to the Administrator.
POSITION: HOME HEALTH AIDE
DUTIES:
1. Under the guidance, training, and oversight of the staff nurse and the Director of Nursing, provides personal care and related services in the household.
2. Tasks assigned to an HHA must be administered by and completed under the supervision of an RN who will be responsible for the HHA’s medical treatment.
3. An HHA should not be assigned to undergo or minimize any intravenous treatments, procedures requiring Levin’s tubes or Foley catheters, or any other sterile or intrusive procedures in any circumstances.
POSITION: LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSE
DUTIES:
1. Under the immediate supervision of the Registered Nurse, provides specialized nursing services.
2. Provides curative, rehabilitative, palliative, or preventative nursing treatment by performing a variety of professional actions.
3. Is in charge of making recommendations based on the individual’s nursing expertise and professional background.

POSITION: HOME HEALTH AIDE
DUTIES:
1. Provides personal care and related services in the home, under the direction, instruction and supervision of the staff nurse and the Director of Nursing
2. Tasks to be performed by an HHA must be assigned by and performed under the supervision of an RN who will be responsible for the patient care provided by the HHA
3. Under no circumstances may an HHA be assigned to receive or reduce any intravenous procedures, procedures involving the use of Levin’s tubes or Foley catheters, or any other sterile or invasive procedures.
